To be eligible to loan out an item, individuals must be employed by FHSS College and use it solely for BYU/FHSS purposes. Student employees must obtain approval from their non-student supervisor.
Please read the information in the tabs below explaining how to schedule, use, and return a device.
Note that the devices must be booked at least one day in advance.
You will be given device and time options.
A loaner can be booked based on its availability
Loaners can only be checked out for up to 2 weeks (otherwise you must get special permission from Gary Glade)
Loaners must remain in Utah state (otherwise you must fill out an off-campus form)
After your booking has been confirmed, go to KMBL 382 during work hours (M-F 8 am-5 pm) to pick it up at the front desk. The device will be in a bag with cords and a tag. Please, make sure to keep them together.

If you need specific software, let the front desk know once you come to collect the device. They will help you set your account up and install the needed software.

HOW LONG CAN I LOAN OUT A DEVICE FOR?

This equipment is free to borrow and available for short-term checkouts.
WHAT SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE ON COMPUTERS?
Only BYU Licensed software is available for use. If you need software to be installed, let the front desk know once you come to collect the device. They will help you set your account up and install the needed software.
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON BRINGING A LOANER DEVICE HOME?
Computers that are taken home should be used for BYU faculty research, data collection, and course preparation. These computers should not be used by family members or others for personal use. The more users who use the computer, the greater the risk of viruses, malware, and hardware problems. If a BYU computer comes in from home for repairs and personal accounts for users who are not BYU personnel are on the computer, they may be wiped off from the computer if the equipment needs to be wiped clean and re-setup to fix a problem. No personal data will be backed up on these computers.
